GDM, one of the leading companies in IT, is proud to announce a new investment in artificial intelligence and data-driven development. In close collaboration with Mid Sweden University, GDM has recruited a PhD student who will play a central role in driving this initiative forward.

The PhD candidate, who will start in September, will focus on integrating Machine Learning and Generative AI (GenAI) into GDM’s operations. The initiative aims to strengthen the company’s ability to analyze data and automate processes, with the goal of offering even more valuable and effective solutions to customers.

“We have already made significant progress in AI, with two AI assistants launched to help our customers and support our support team. However, this new venture is our most advanced yet and will focus on taking our IT operations to the next level. With Mid Sweden University as a partner, we are confident that we can set a new standard for customer expectations in our industry,” says Niklas Hagberg, project manager for the venture.

With its headquarters in Sundsvall and around 130 employees, GDM has always strived to be at the forefront of the IT industry. This investment in AI and Intelligent Automation is an important step in the company’s long-term strategy to strengthen its position as a leading IT supplier in Sweden.

“This partnership with Mid Sweden University gives us a unique opportunity to combine academic excellence with our practical experience in IT. We look forward to working together to exploring new opportunities in AI and data-driven development, which we are confident will lead to improved IT solutions and increased value for our customers,” says Tommy Gustafsson, CEO and founder of GDM.
